STEM Road Map Course Series
This course series is designed for educators across Egypt and the Arabian countries to leverage their experience from the basic level of understanding of the STEM teaching methodology to the mastery level of curriculum and instructional design. The course series is taught in a combination between Arabic and English languages to make it easier for educators to engage in the learning process. The series is introduced and taught through online learning mode with flexible learning hours during the weekends. The course involves five teaching and learning modules with four projects as practical applications.

Requirements:
- Teachers including subject teachers: Math, Science, English or extracurricular activities teachers: STEM, Robotics, and Design
- Good English level
- At least two years of teaching experience
- Commitment to full course duration
- Access to computer and internet for online sessions

Bachelor degree in Aerospace engineering from Cairo University, Postgraduate degree in Education from City University Ajman UAE, Certified STEM trainer and TOT from American Organization for Science and Technology, Certified Global Scholar from Korda Institute for Teaching USA, Certified AFS Global STEM Educator with 10+ years experience

Module 1: Building STEM Curriculum Unit for Elementary and Middle School
- Understand the cornerstone challenge
- Explore the different elements of a cornerstone unit
- Unpacking the American teaching standards (NGSS and CCSS) using AI tools
- Classifying the types of STEM integration into the unit
- Planning STEM tasks into the cornerstone unit
- Grading and assessment of cornerstone work
- Revising and putting remarks on a ready-made STEM cornerstone unit
- Design a STEM cornerstone unit from scratch (Project I)
Module 2: Designing and Implementing a Capstone Challenge Unit for Upper Middle and High School
- Understanding the capstone challenge
- Exploring the phases of the capstone challenge implementation (EDP process)
- Defining the elements of a capstone challenge release
- Using the capstone challenge planning template and project blocking tool
- Grading the students' capstone work
- Revising and putting remarks on a ready-made capstone challenge release
- Designing a capstone challenge release from scratch (Project II)
Module 3: STEM Lesson Planning and Teaching STEM Skills
- Understanding the elements of daily STEM lesson plan
- Exploring the role of a STEM teacher as a facilitator, monitor, and evaluator
- Exploring the different assessment templates and techniques used in class
- Using templates for practicing metacognition
- Teaching teamwork skills and professional skills to students
- Design lesson plan that integrates STEM skills (Project III)
Module 4: Coaching and Data Analysis for Quality STEM Program
- Understanding the role of a STEM coach, the coaching cycles, and data-driven instruction to coach teachers
- Exploring the elements of observation and coaching agenda
- Defining the elements of the STEM class observation metric
- Exploring the STEM learner survey
- Using data analysis template to compare and contrast results
- Developing coaching action plan based on the data (Project IV)
